Songbird Camp is different from the five hunting camps on purpose. There is no blind, no season, no bird to bring home — the whole craft here is the ear. Robins, wrens, and warblers each carry their own song, and learning to pull one voice out of a dawn chorus is the same listening skill every caller in the lodge leans on.

The songbird shelf is honest about what it is: listening tools — identification apps and field guides — not game calls with reeds and tone boards. Pick the one you actually carry and read what it does. Where a product has no physical anatomy, the turntable says so instead of drawing one.

Straight answer: songbird is a legacy Translator Series species with no champion of record and no measured champion references — and unlike the elk, deer, and turkey camps, we are not promising to recruit one. No recruitment plan exists for this species, so we will not imply a roadmap. What this camp has instead is its own point: the ear. Training and the listening challenge run on curated library recordings, plainly labelled as such.
The measured shelves live where the champions are: Kent Cullum’s duck masters in Duck Camp and Hunter Grounds’ goose masters in Goose Camp — every one analysed and fingerprinted, with provenance at the reference library. What you sharpen here carries straight over there.
